Birsa munda Salute Birsa munda on his birth anniversary.. Birsa Munda  was an Indian  tribal freedom fighter, religious leader, and folk hero who belonged to the Munda tribe. He spearheaded an Indian tribal religious Millenarian movement that arose in the tribal belt of modern-day Bihar and Jharkhand in the late 19th century, during the British Raj, thereby making him an important figure in the history of the Indian independence movement. His achievements are even more remarkable for having been accomplished before the age of 25.  The Ant and the Grasshopper One summer's day a grasshopper was hopping about, chirping and singing merrily. An Ant passed by, carrying an ear of corn to the nest. The grasshopper said,"why not come and chat with me" The ant refused and said,"I am helping to lay up food for the winter and you should also do the same."     The grasshopper said "why should i bother about the winters? We have got plenty of food at present."But the ant Went on its Way and continued to gather food. when the winter came the Grasshopper had no food and found himself dying out of hunger,While it saw the ants distributing every day corn and grain frome the stores they had collected in the summer.     Then the Grasshopper went to the ant and asked for food. The ant refused and said,"you should have worked out in summers rather than just sitting and singing.

The wind and The sun Once the wind and the sun came to have a quarrel. Either of them claimed to be a stronger. At last they agreed to have a trial of strength.     "Here comes a traveller. Let us see who can strip him of his clock,"said the sun.       The wind agreed and chose to have the first turn. He blew in the hardest possible way. As a result, the traveller wrapped his cloak even more tightly around his. The sun shining brighter then it was the turn of the sun. At first he shone very gently. So, the traveller loosened his cloak frome his neck.     The sun went on shining brighter and brighter. The traveller felt hot. Before long he took off his cloak and put it in his bag. The Wind had to accept his defeat. MORAL:   Fury or force cuts no ice where gentleness does the job.

એક મહિલાએ સ્વામીજીને કહ્યું કે મારી એક આંખ ખૂબ ફડકી રહી છે, લાગે છે કંઈક ખોટું થવાનું છે, કૃપા કરી કોઈ ઉપાય જણાવો, સ્વામીજીએ શું જવાબ આપ્યો? સમય સારો-ખરાબ કેવો પણ હોય, વ્યક્તિએ માત્ર સારા કામ કરતા રહેવું જોઈએ ધર્મ ડેસ્કઃ- શનિવાર, 12 જાન્યુઆરીના સ્વામી વિવેકાનંદનો જન્મદિવસ છે. તેમનો જન્મ 12 જાન્યુઆરી 1863ના કોલકાતામાં થયો હતો. પહેલા તેમનું નામ નરેન્દ્રનાથ દત્ત હતુ. તેમના પિતાનું નામ વિશ્વનાથ દત્ત અને માતાનું નામ ભુવનેશ્વરી દેવી હતું. સ્વામીજીની મૃત્યુ 4 જુલાઈ, 1902ના થઈ હતી. સ્વામી વિવેકાનંદના જીવનના અનેક એવા પ્રસંગ છે, જેનાથી સુખી અને સફળ જીવનની પ્રેરણા મળે છે. અહીં જાણો એક એવો પ્રસંગ, જેમાં કર્મનું મહત્વ જણાવવામાં આવ્યું છે. - એક મહિલાએ સ્વામી વિવેકાનંદને કહ્યું કે સ્વામીજી થોડા દિવસથી મારી એક આંખ ખૂબ ફડકી રહી છે, એવું લાગે છે કંઈક અશુભ થવાનું છે. મને કોઈ એવો ઉપાય જણાવો, જેનાથી આ અપશુકન ટાળી શકાય. - મહિલાની વાત સાંભળી વિવેકાનંદે કહ્યુ કે દેવી, મારી નજરમાં તો શુભ અને અશુભ કંઈ નથી. જીવનમાં સારી અને ખરાબ બંને પ્રકારની ઘટનાઓ થાય છે. લોકો તેને પોતાના વિચાર મુજબ શુભ-અશુ...

The cat scan      One day, Ricky's dog got seriously ill.He was fed up of performing daily tasks and wanted to rest for a few days. Ricky took the dog to the veterinary doctor. The doctor examined the dog and declared that the dog was well. Ricky doubted,"If the dog is well, why is he not able to perform his task?"The doctor said,"Give him this medicine and bring it tomorrow again." Ricky did as the doctor asked.       Next day, Ricky took the dog to the doctor.The doctor asked his assistant to bring a cat. The cat sniffed the dog and went to the other room without any reaction. The dog did not give any reaction;the doctor brought the cat again. This time the cat bit dog's tail, the dog got angry and pounced on the cat. Ricky smiled on seeing his dog back to normal. Ricky thanked the doctor and went back home happily with his dog.
